Our Privatization team draws together wide-ranging expertise from around our firm, including our renowned Project Development, Banking & Finance, M&A, Capital Markets, Real Estate and Tax practices to advise clients on both the buy and sell side of these headline-making transactions.
Working in areas such as energy and utilities, telecoms, infrastructure, and natural resources through our dedicated sector teams, we have advised on many of the most important and innovative privatizations of recent years. On the sell side we have worked on a large number of very significant transactions for clients such as DEPA, HRADF and OTE. On the buy side, we have advised clients such as Glencore and Carlyle for the privatization of Hellenic Petroleum; GEK Terna and Egis on the privatization of Egnatia Odos Motorway; a group of foreign investors in the tender for LARCO, the state-owned nickel producer; and Energean for the first underground natural gas storage (UGS) project in this part of the Mediterranean.
