Lambadarios is close-knit team of high-caliber lawyers.

We pride ourselves on our collaborative and inclusive style of working and on the close relationships we enjoy with our colleagues. Our clients and their needs are paramount to us and over our long history we have learned that enjoying what we do and the people around is an important part of delivering the first-class service for which we are renowned.

Being a lawyer at the top of the profession is demanding. Our clients expect a lot from us – their businesses, careers and livelihoods often depend on the advice we give. So, we always aim to give them advice based a range of perspectives and drawing on the expertise of colleagues with different areas of specialist knowledge and experience. This collaborative approach is hardwired into everything we do and, as well as leading to better advice and outcomes for our clients, it leads to closer working relationships and a more fulfilling working environment for us. It’s a virtuous circle that gives our people broader exposure to clients and legal issues and supports their continuing professional development. And, we believe, it’s one of the reasons that our lawyers tend to stay with the firm. We offer a challenging career at a top-tier and growing law firm, but one that puts people and relationships at the heart of our success. So much so, in fact, that this is part of our vision: ‘To operate at the leading edge of our profession, enjoying the special trust of important clients and the recognition of our peers, while offering joy to the members of our team.’

Trainee opportunities

We are always looking for talented new prospects to join our growing team. Each year we take on at least two and sometimes as many as six trainees to complete two years of training with us. In doing so, we are always looking for candidates in whom we see the potential to become excellent lawyers and continue working within our team as qualified lawyers. This long-term view is important to us and we are proud to say that at least three of our current partners joined us as trainees and have built their careers entirely within Lambadarios.

Joining us as a trainee, you will spend two years working within a range of our specialist practices, supporting partners and associates and gradually taking on more responsibility as your experience grows. You will gain a detailed understanding of the operation of all levels of the Greek and EU Courts and broad exposure to the work of the firm, including transactional, commercial and contentious work. You will work on real matters and disputes, helping to prepare papers, contributing to due diligences and attending client meetings.

In each practice, you will have a senior supervisor who will ensure that you receive broad exposure to the work of the team and on whom you can rely for feedback and support. You will also be assigned a ‘buddy’ – an associate who can provide more informal support and guidance.

Entry requirements

Naturally we are looking for graduates who can demonstrate high intelligence, quick thinking and a strong academic track record – a GPA of around 7.0 is our baseline. But this is just the beginning. With our long-term view, we are looking for people who have the potential to become part of our team for years to come. So, we are looking for candidates who will both fit into and contribute to our team culture: people who enjoy being part of a high-performing team; who seek to find solutions rather than problems; who will speak up and offer their views; who take constructive criticism, and; who can adapt quickly and commit to supporting clients’ changing needs. And we are looking for people who will actively enjoy all of this.

Given the increasingly international nature of our practice and client base, we also require all trainees to speak English to a high standard.

Qualified lawyer opportunities

Our firm is growing rapidly and we are always looking out for outstanding lawyers to join our team. As a qualified lawyer, you can expect to build a career working alongside some of the foremost business lawyers in Athens, advising prestigious clients on the transactions and issues that make the business news.

While we don’t set any specific entry criteria, it is likely you will have an LLM from a well-known western European or US university and that you will have a demonstrably international outlook and strong language skills, preferably in English and an additional language.
