Magdalini-Christina Vlachou-Vlachopoulou focuses on Public Law, Administrative Law and Administrative Procedure Law, Energy and Environment Law, as well as Public Procurement Law and Utilities. She is a member of our Energy and Oil & Gas and Project Finance practice groups and advises both domestic and international clients on administrative, energy and environment, project finance and public procurement issues. Her expertise encompasses energy and environment, EU and national legislation, renewable and thermal energy projects, concession agreements, and administrative litigation.
Magdalini-Christina holds an LL.M. degree from Harvard Law School (class 2023), as well as an LL.M. degree in Public Law from the Law School of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (valedictorian) (2019). She is a PhD candidate in Public Law at the same Law School since 2021, whereas she has taught European Union Law at Sciences Po (Paris, France). Magdalini-Christina is the author of two monographs focusing on Public Law and EU law, has contributed to several collective volumes and has published more than thirty-five articles and case law commentaries on Public Law, EU Law, Public Procurement, Energy and Environmental Law. She has also spent one semester at the Law School of the University of Heidelberg (Germany) (2016) and is fluent in English, French, German and Spanish.
A member of the Athens Bar Association since 2020, Magdalini-Christina has experience in advising on privatizations and mergers and acquisitions of oil, gas and utility companies, as well as of renewable energy project development companies. She is experienced in public tenders and the assignment of public contracts, in particular on the regulatory requirements for developing projects and public private partnerships, and on the restructuring of major infrastructure and energy projects.
