Congratulations to EDPR on the successful divestment of its Greek wind portfolio!

We are delighted to have advised EDP Renováveis (EDPR) on its agreement with Principia — the joint venture between Enel Green Power and Macquarie Asset Management — for the sale of a 100% equity stake in a 150 MW portfolio of operating wind farms in Greece, with an estimated enterprise value of €0.2 billion.

The transaction includes four operational wind farms, all benefitting from 20-year Contracts for Difference (CfDs), and represents EDPR’s first renewables asset rotation in Greece.

This strategic divestment demonstrates how global renewable energy leaders are proactively optimizing their portfolios, enabling capital recycling and reinvestment into new clean energy projects, while supporting the ongoing energy transition in Greece.

Lambadarios Law Firm advised EDPR on all Greek legal aspects of the transaction, including:

• Vendor due diligence (VDD)
• SPA documentation and localization
• Carve-out structuring and asset separation
• Execution and final signing
