Lambadarios advised the first Hines Greece transaction that proudly stands today as a leading 5-star hotel, the Grand Hyatt

A long long time ago in a galaxy far far away one Man believed in the Greek turnaround story.

In June 2017 Paul Gomopoulos, managing director of Hines in Greece, truly believed in the vision of what Greece could become. Deep into the Greek crisis, with almost zero liquidity in the markets, a super difficult macroeconomic environment, unsure government outlook, he took a chance and bought a closed and run-down building to create what proudly stands today as a leading 5-star hotel in Athens, the Grand Hyatt. This was the first Hines transaction in Greece followed by many more.

As Lambadarios we wish to thank from the bottom of our hearts Paul and the Hines team including Anastasia Hassiotis, Dimitris Vyzantios and Ioannis Giannikopoulos for working with our team on this project from Day 1.

From acquisition, to financing, to development, to operating and finally selling to Blackstone in a unique transaction for the Greek market.
